Encouragement, Knowledge, and Passion

I have taught at Bushland ISD for twenty-seven years, and, with Laura's help, am looking forward to possibly retiring in 2017 - financially secure!  Laura first started helping me strategize with my money in the fall of 2009.  Since then, my contributions have increased greatly, both through Laura's encouragement for me to save more and through her strategies as to where to put my money.  Laura has always been quick to answer my questions and very patient, even when I asked questions that she had already answered.  I am grateful that I found someone with the financial knowledge and with the passion to help people that Laura displays.

The company I have worked with for the last several years provided a basic 401(k) saving plan, which I participated in.  While my savings grew over the years, it did not do so sufficiently, due to volatility of the investments I chose.  My wife was a teacher and was eligible for a teacher retirement pension, but that was the extent of her investments.

We have known Laura Hamilton for several years and learned she was starting her own financial services business.  She contacted my wife and requested if she might talk with us about our financial needs.

Laura immediately made several suggestions, including establishing a contribution program for my wife through the school system and relocating my 401-K savings into other, less-volatile things.  Through the years, Laura has continued to provide us with excellent service and strategies.  She is always suggesting new things we might consider.

My wife has been able to retire this year and I am planning on doing so in the next few months.  Through Laura’s guidance, we have been able to build a nest egg which will enable us to retire comfortably with low risk.

I started teaching special education 20 years ago.  My dad recommended for me to start saving for retirement from the start, so I did, by opening up a 403(b) and contributing to it monthly.  Then, 5 years ago, I was introduced to Laura Hamilton and she became my full-time financial professional for my retirement needs.  What a difference this hard-working lady has done for me.  Within the 5 years she has been working with me, she has doubled my retirement account funds from what I had contributed in the 15 years prior. Laura has your best interest at heart!  She wants you to get the maximum out of what you are contributing, so she continues to move your contributions around to get the most benefits.  I’m not savvy with all this retirement jargon, but I can trust Laura with finding the best program to benefit myself and family when retirement arrives.  By starting my retirement contributions from the beginning of my teaching career and meeting Laura Hamilton, I can retire at 52, but will work until 57 to get my full retirement benefits for myself and family.  Thank you very much, Laura Hamilton, for ALL your hard work!!

Thanks to Laura Hamilton,  we have a sound financial strategy that is guiding us towards success. Due to Laura’s guidance, we are quickly paying off our student loans (in half the time), putting money into savings, and building our retirement. We are grateful for her advice and where it is leading us. Laura is always quick to respond to any questions or advising that we need. ConFIDENCE & SECURITY throughout EACH STEP

Retirement meetings...uggh. I was sitting in one, listening to all the rules and changes. The speaker listed all the alternatives and options. It sounded like Greek. I realized that even though I didn't understand, the information sounded familiar. Laura already had those distinctions covered in my strategy...and had them in place for quite some time. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for her wisdom and guidance. This stuff is too complicated to navigate alone. I am currently enjoying my first year of retirement! Besides the obvious perks and benefits of this new status, I also have freedom and financial peace of mind much in part due to the advice and counsel that Laura Hamilton gave me to prepare for this new lifestyle since 2009. A year before my last year of teaching, Laura gave my husband and me the best advice: live on what would be my retirement income plus my husband’s salary for that entire year so that we would get the feel of what the reality would be. We also contributed the difference from my salary and what would be my retirement income. This gave us extra cushion plus it helped us to live within my future retirement income. The result? There were no surprises and no financial adjustments! In fact, it was a seamless transition. Knowing that we can comfortably live within our means, while having our ‘nest egg’ which Laura guided us to build up and maintain for when we do need it, let’s me have freedom to do what I’m supposed to be doing...enjoying and serving others through retirement!!

LISTENS TO NEEDS WITH Visible results, year after year

While raising four children, residing in three states, and working, I enjoyed a 29-year career as an elementary school teacher.  Unfortunately, as a single mom, I wasn’t able to save much money for the future.  I worried about retiring with only what my TRS annuity provided.  The returns were miserable and the funds were too easily available when one of the kids needed a medical or dental procedure.

Thankfully, nine years ago, I met Laura Hamilton, and she advised me to put the monthly savings into a policy that had much better interest.  Each year she showed me a visible plan where I could see how much I would have by retirement.  It was a great feeling to view results year after year and have peace that I would live better in my older years.

Laura has listened to my needs.  I highly recommend her to friends and family.  I know she gives wonderful advice, and I am actually ahead of where I had planned to be, and still growing my money.  It’s hard to believe we started only a few short years ago.
