Cory spent 23 years in education following his graduation from WTAMU. He taught both math and history during his career as a teacher. Coach Hamilton was a football and baseball coach his entire educational career. As the head baseball coach at both Dumas and Randall he won over 400 baseball games and took the Randall Raiders to the state baseball tournament in 2023. After retiring from education, Cory pursued a second career in insurance helping his wife Laura build her agency with an emphasis on trying to save clients on their home and auto insurance. Cory also focuses on commercial insurance.

Cory married his wife Laura in 2010 and they welcomed their beautiful, loving daughter, Lynnlie, in 2015. Cory loves spending time with his wife including traveling, playing golf, and following the activities of Lynnlie. Lynnlie loves ballet, school, and having fun with her friends. Cory and Laura both love following her activities and creating memories together.

Cory is an outdoors person and enjoys almost all that entails. He enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, watching sporting events, and camping out with his family.
